The Guggenheim Museum wanted to explore ways the traditional audio tour could go beyond hearing from the curators and more into exploring the themes Rem Koolhaas’ Countryside presented. With them, we conceived of a tour that would speak with all the people around the globe that had contributed to the exhibition: From architects to urbanists, cultural critics to environmentalists.
The result is an 18-stop audio tour that covers the entire museum, walking listeners through every surface of the space, one that was taken over by Rem Koolhaas and his team in its entirety.
Working closely with the museum and Curator of Architecture and Digital Initiatives Troy Conrad Therrien, we developed a tour that could be listened to both within the museum walls and beyond it.
